For the 2021-2022 season every adult over the age of 50 as well as those with certain pre-existing health conditions were offered a flu vaccine on the NHS.  In addition all school children, of both primary and secondary school age were offered a nasal flu vaccine.

However for the 2022-2023 flu season only adults over the age of 65 and those with pre-existing health conditions, or who are pregnant will be eligible for a flu vaccine on the NHS.  The JCVI has stated that all school age children should be offered a flu vaccine and that the programme should be extended as soon as is practical, however this year in England secondary school children will not be offered a nasal flu vaccine on the NHS.

Both the nasal flu vaccine and injectable flu vaccines will be available at the surgery. We shall let you know the dates as soon as we know for you to book your appointment.
